2014 USCSDA Great Lakes Regional Championship
Well folks another one in the books for the 2014 USCSDA Great Lakes Regional Championship.
There was a mix of weather for the 2 day trial that drew 25 quality dogs, that was hosted by the Grand Valley bird Dog Club of New Hudson Michigan. The positive Judging for the championship was performed by two horseback gentleman from Michigan who gave there undivided attention, Bill Branham of Carleton, Mi. and Bill Klenner of Belleville, Mi.
The Trial was ran for 2 days, with six braces the first day Friday under cloudy rain and Saturday being a Sunny windy.
There was a champion and runner-up champion named in this trial.
CH "Fireside Dale's Shady Banker" handled by Scott Chafee for Mary Beth Esser
RU CH One shot Remington handled and owned by Gregory Hilla
Lunch on Friday was Pizza provided by the club to keep everyone's energy level up. On Saturday, Jimmy Cipp brought in the Pro Staff from the Highland Club, the Team Sposita, consisting of Ron Sr. and Ron Jr. The meal was funded by last years winner Champion Craig Merlington whose dog "Call Me Kate" won.
The meal of Pasta and Meatballs accompanied with a well seasoned pork tenderloin.
The meal was well received and the judges and the handlers were glad there was only 2 braces left.

Grand Valley Spring 2014 Field Trial
Come on down and participate in the Grand Valley Bird Dog Club Spring 2014 Field Trial. This trial is a Horseback and USCSDA Walking trial, both trials earn points toward the Michigan Dog of the year points series, making it a AMFTC Points trial. Please get your entries in early as the winter has been long and everyone is itching to get out and about. Since the World Famous Highland trial was cancelled, because of snow and ice, we are having a special get rid of the bad weather dance so that this misfortune doesn't act up again for this event. please get entries in by Wednesday the 19th of March 7pm.
